We all came for one, two, or three reasons. One is for the joy of writing. It’s fun to tell an entertaining story. While some of them vexed or irritated a few people, judging by their responses, many others saw the reality behind the story.

The second reason is to find exposure. It’s far more fun as a writer if you have people that will read your work. When you face the facts that writing just for yourself is extremely limiting, because you’re the only one that sees it, being published in some format makes it possible for others to see your work, comment, critique, and let you feel noticed.

Then there’s the reward side of writing. It’s far more rewarding than writing something that nobody else sees. That reward is in the form of reads and compensation.
