How We Take The New Day

What will you do
A question with an answer each day
It’s all been up to you
The world waits to hear what you’ll say

When nothing goes right
Tired and weary
Completely exhausted by night
The world looks dreary

No time to bask in life’s precious glow
Or so wrong you might be
Lay your head down, or get up and go
The latter, such possibilities you might see

The urge to surrender, to which is easy to yield
We all know it’s easy, just to lie down
How do you use that power you wield
It’s your choice whether or not to wear a frown

Be happy with the facts of life as they are
Decide differently, each day you can
Up to now, things may not have gotten too far
Tomorrow is another day to unleash a new plan

Will it be more of the same
Or a better view
It’s time to change the game
In the end, it’s all up to you
