I love how this is a hot button issue only in an election year. The democrats have had control for quite a while, knew this was coming, could have attempted to push through legislation before it happened to legalize it in the United States, and didn't do anything. Now, he wants people to vote because of it. This was something that was problematic from the beginning. Yet, the dems have never actually tried to correct the deficiences by enacting legislation to protect abortion, but rather used a court decision to interpret things.

Simply put, this, like many other rights people think they have, isn't enumerated or mentioned in the constitution. So, the supreme court doesn't see it as a right to an abortion, but a right to one if they're available, and it'll be up to the states to enact laws as to whether they're available. People should be calling their state legislatures and protesting in their state capitals. Not at the federal level. I honestly feel for victims of crimes that might want to correct something done to them, or those women that have a pregnancy that might kill them. It's already a tough enouch choice.
