That's the world we live in though. There isn't anything else for them to report on, and if people are going to pay attention to the world that's what they'll see. The world is becoming more and more demoralized due to the 1% being the only ones fortunate enough to to suffer in the world. The rest of the world is experiencing less and less joy, and the news media simply reports that.
